INDIA-WEATHER-FLOODS
This photo taken from an Indian Airforce helicopter shows a flood devasted village at Ghanshyampur, in Darbhanga district of the Indian state of Bihar, 09 August, 2007. Among the millions of people forced from their homes by floods across South Asia many were desperate for food and drinking water, with India’s Bihar state the worst hit. Flooding has affected more than 6,000 villages in half of Bihar’s 38 districts with at least two million people living outdoors.
