Ganga Dussehra: ज्येष्ठ महीने के शुक्ल पक्ष की दशमी तिथि को गंगा दशहरा मनाए जाने का विधान है। आज यानी 16 जून को गंगा दशहरा मनाया जा रहा है। इस अवसर पर वाराणसी, प्रयागराज, अयोध्या और हरिद्वार के गंगा घाटों पर भी भारी भीड़ है। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने आज गंगा दशहरा पर राज्य के लोगों को शुभकामनाएं देते हुए उनके जीवन में सुख, शांति और समृद्धि की कामना की।
मुख्यमंत्री योगी ने सोशल मीडिया मंच ‘एक्स’ पर अपने एक संदेश में कहा,‘‘मोक्षदायिनी, जीवनदायिनी, ‘राष्ट्रीय नदी’ मां गंगा के अवतरण दिवस ‘गंगा दशहरा’ की प्रदेशवासियों व सभी श्रद्धालुओं को हार्दिक बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं! माँ गंगा की कृपा से सभी के जीवन में सुख, शांति, समृद्धि व आरोग्यता का वास हो, यही प्रार्थना है। जय मां गंगे!”
गंगा दशहरा ज्येष्ठ शुक्ल दशमी को मनाया जाता है। पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार इसी दिन मां गंगा का अवतरण पृथ्वी पर हुआ था। हिंदू धर्म में गंगा दशहरा का विशेष महत्व बताया गया है। शास्त्रों के अनुसार इस दिन धरती पर मां गंगा अवतरित हुई थीं। ज्येष्ठ माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की दशमी तिथि को गंगा दशहरा मनाया जाता है। हिंदू धर्म की मान्यताओं के अनुसार, इस दिन मां गंगा का धरती पर अवतरण हुआ था और अपने पूर्वजों की आत्मा के उद्धार के लिए भागीरथ गंगा को पृथ्वी पर लेकर आए थे। गंगा दशहरा के दिन स्नान-दान करने का विशेष महत्व होता है। गंगा दशहरा पर हर साल गंगा नदी में आस्था की डुबकी लगाते हैं। ऐसा कहते हैं कि इस दिन गंगा में स्नान करने से सभी तरह के पाप मिट जाते हैं। इस बार गंगा दशहरा 16 जून, रविवार को यानी आज मनाया जाएगा।
