देहरादून: मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि सरकार प्रदेश के दूरस्थ क्षेत्रों में स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं को सुदृढ़ करने के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रही है। इसी क्रम में मुख्यमंत्री ने घोषणा की कि अल्मोड़ा जनपद के चौखुटिया में स्थित सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र की क्षमता को बढ़ाते हुए इसे 30 बेड से विस्तारित कर 50 बेड का अस्पताल बनाया जाएगा। इसके साथ ही अस्पताल में अत्याधुनिक डिजिटल एक्स-रे मशीन भी उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी, जिससे स्थानीय नागरिकों को बेहतर और त्वरित स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं मिल सकेंगी।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार का प्रयास है कि पहाड़ के लोगों को बेहतर चिकित्सा सुविधाओं के लिए बड़े शहरों पर निर्भर न रहना पड़े। इसी उद्देश्य से चौखुटिया में उप जिला चिकित्सालय के निर्माण से संबंधित कार्यों को समयबद्ध तरीके से पूरा करने के लिए उत्तराखंड कृषि उत्पादन विपणन परिषद को कार्यदायी संस्था नियुक्त किया गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं के विस्तार को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता दे रही है और प्रदेश में चिकित्सा सेवाओं को मजबूत बनाने की दिशा में लगातार व्यापक कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इस अस्पताल के विस्तार से चौखुटिया और आसपास के क्षेत्रों के हजारों लोगों को लाभ मिलेगा तथा स्वास्थ्य उपचार में होने वाली देरी को रोका जा सकेगा।
